“I don’t know if I should do it or not. I mean, I have a comfortable life, a good job, family, and home. Why go behind a dream that might never come true?”, Nidhi said arguing with her husband Rishabh.
“Oh C’mon Nidhi, don’t be so negative yaar. What’s the harm in trying? At least you will know you have tried. You have always wanted to do this.” Rishabh replied.
“And what if I fail?”
“So what, then back to your comfortable life”, he countered.
“Okay, fine! I’ll do it.”
…
3 years later
As Nidhi started to walk backstage she looked back at the audience still laughing so hard that they were not able to control themselves.
Tears pierced her eyes, if…if she hadn’t listened to her husband that day…
Then, she wouldn’t be here performing at this stand-up comedy event and wouldn’t be able to see these people laughing at her jokes.
That day long ago, Rishabh had convinced her to audition for a comedy show. Not only she got selected that day, she gradually became very popular with her acts and jokes.
Now she had a Youtube channel with 1 million subscribers and a career she loved more than anything. She was a ‘Stand-up Comedian’.
Thanks to her husband, to whom she would always be grateful, she took a leap of faith and left her comfort zone, in return, she got her dreams fulfilled.
